Residents encouraged to download app for collection schedules and reminders
Coquitlam residents receiving curbside waste collection services can now opt out of the annual paper collection calendar by utilizing the Coquitlam Curbside Collection app.
The city has provided an environmentally friendly alternative by offering the app, which is available for download now, allowing users to access waste collection schedules digitally.
Residents have until April 17, 2025, to complete an opt-out form for the printed calendar and transition entirely to the app.
The Coquitlam Curbside Collection app is available on both Apple and Android platforms. It provides several features, including personalized collection schedules, email and phone reminders for collection days, and event notifications.
The app also includes a Waste Wizard search tool, offering guidance on where to donate, recycle, or dispose of various items, as well as providing information on garbage and green cart collection services.
