Teenagers in Coquitlam invited to a week of free games, sports, and arts activities
Coquitlam teenagers are invited to a week of free activities including games, arts and crafts, and sports during Youth Week from May 1 to 7.
Coquitlam will join communities across British Columbia in celebrating youth diversity and contributions. Recreation staff have prepared a weeklong schedule featuring drop-in and registered activities at local recreation facilities and parks, including contests, art workshops, sports sessions, and wellness activities.
The week will also feature a popular Scavenger Hunt for youth aged 11 to 18. Participants will receive daily clues via email leading them to various locations around Coquitlam. Registration is available until May 1.
A pickup basketball tournament will be held on May 3 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Town Centre Park. Other offerings include a Star Wars event, art journals, brain puzzles, and forest tours.
Outside of registered events, drop-in activities like trivia night, barbecues, and study lounges will also be available throughout the week.
