New ‘School’s Out Pass’ provides affordable access to recreation centers and pools during school breaks.

Kids and teens up to 18 can enjoy unlimited drop-in activities at Coquitlam’s pools and recreation centers during summer, winter, and spring breaks, all for just $25. The School’s Out Pass grants access to numerous activities from June 28, 2025, to March 29, 2026, with passes available for purchase starting Monday, June 2.

Passholders can engage in a variety of drop-in activities during major school breaks, including public swimming at indoor and outdoor pools, drop-in sports like basketball, badminton, and volleyball, drop-in skating, and for teens aged 13 to 18, access to fitness centers and fitness classes.

The School’s Out Pass can be purchased by phone at 604-927-4386, or in person at various facilities including Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex and City Centre Aquatic Complex. New passholders will need to have photos taken and cards printed at these facilities.

Coquitlam also offers a range of low-cost or free summer activities, such as ten free spray parks and a wading pool, plus $2 admission for all ages at Eagle Ridge Outdoor Pool and Mundy Park Pool.

In addition to the School’s Out Pass, the city provides the Financial Assistance for Recreation program, offering 50 free drop-in visits and a $225 credit per family member for recreation services.
