Coquitlam’s facility to undergo essential updates, offering alternative options for residents.

Coquitlam’s Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex at 633 Poirier Street will undergo its annual maintenance closure starting Tuesday, June 3.

The fitness center will reopen on June 10, while the pool is set to reopen on Monday, June 30. Between June 3 and June 9, the reception desk will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Regular hours will resume from June 10 onward.

The annual closure is vital for ensuring a safe environment for both staff and the public and helps to reduce equipment failures, extending the life of the complex.

Residents can still swim at the City Centre Aquatic Complex at 1210 Pinetree Way. Information about hours and details is available on the city’s website.

Drop-in fitness classes and weight room access are offered at multiple City facilities. Schedules and facility information can be found online.

Coquitlam residents can also access the Bettie Allard YMCA at 555 Emerson Street at special resident rates, even without being a YMCA member. Rate and schedule details are available on the YMCA’s website.
