We acknowledge with gratitude and respect that the name Coquitlam originates from the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ word kʷikʷəƛ̓əm meaning ‘Red Fish Up the River,’ and we are honored to be situated on traditional and ancestral lands, including those historically shared with the q̓ic̓əy̓ and other Coast Salish Peoples.
