Fitness center to reopen September 9, pool and café on October 6
Coquitlam’s City Centre Aquatic Complex is set to undergo its annual maintenance closure starting Tuesday, September 2. The pool, fitness center, and café located at 1210 Pinetree Way will be affected.
Patrons can look forward to the fitness center reopening on September 9, while the pool and café are scheduled to reopen on October 6.
During the interim period from September 9 to October 5, the fitness center will operate from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, and 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturdays. It will be closed on Sundays.
The front desk will close 30 minutes before the facility’s closing time, and admissions will be halted accordingly.
This closure is essential to carry out maintenance and ensure safety for staff and public, reducing equipment failures and prolonging the asset’s life.
Alternative swimming options are available at the Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex and Mundy Park Pool through October 5. Fitness classes and weight rooms can also be accessed at various city facilities.
Coquitlam residents can enjoy special rates without a YMCA membership at the Bettie Allard YMCA during designated resident access times.
