Survey seeks resident feedback on city services and priorities.
As part of its ongoing commitment to service excellence, the City of Coquitlam is inviting selected residents to participate in the 2025 Community Satisfaction Survey, currently underway.
Led by Ipsos, a trusted research firm, the survey gathers feedback to help guide city decision-making, covering areas from budgeting and planning to everyday service delivery. The survey will be live until October 5, 2025.
Participants will answer questions about their quality of life, satisfaction with city services, and the perceived value of their tax dollars. It also covers views on key community issues like housing, transportation, and infrastructure.
Ipsos selects participants randomly to ensure a representative sample of the community. Participation can occur via phone or through an online survey invitation sent by mail.
Participation is both voluntary and confidential. Surveyors may request basic demographic information to ensure diverse representation, but they will never ask for financial data or payment.
Coquitlam has worked with Ipsos since 2003 to track community satisfaction and inform decision-making. Since 2023, the survey has been conducted biennially to minimize engagement fatigue while maintaining valuable public input.
Results from previous surveys are available online as part of the city’s commitment to transparency. The findings from the 2025 survey will be published this fall.
Residents can remain engaged year-round via the City’s platforms, such as Let’s Talk Coquitlam and the CoquitlamConnect app. Council meetings are also public and livestreamed.
Ipsos is contracted to conduct the 2025 survey, selecting participants through phone and mail to ensure community diversity.
Topics include quality of life, service satisfaction, tax value, customer service interactions, and preferences for city communication.
Survey responses are confidential and reported in aggregate form. For legitimacy concerns, residents can contact the city at 604-927-6774 or engagement@coquitlam.ca.
